ArtsEdge invites Educators to Stand Up for The Arts

Educators are invited to attend the final ArtsEdge professional development event for 2009.

Stand Up for The Arts will be held at The Blue Room Theatre (Perth Cultural Centre, James Street, Northbridge) on Monday December 7 between 4.30pm-7.00pm.

This end of year event will showcase the 2010 arts in education programs or specific events of 8 selected individual artists and/or arts and cultural organisations. Think of this event as a mini-arts market but with a twist!

Each mystery artist or organisation representative will 'pitch' their programs or specific events to educators in a timed 3-minute presentation. How they present their 'pitch' is entirely up to them...so expect the unexpected! Educators will also be able to partake in an exclusive networking session with the artists/representatives post-showcase. Tasty treats to nibble on, courtesy of ArtsEdge, will be on offer and educators can purchase a delightful beverage or two from The Blue Room Bar.

The intimate space of the theatre means that seats are limited, so don't forget to RSVP early. Call ArtsEdge on (08) 9224 7300 or email your name, school and learning area details plus your daytime contact number to artsedge@dca.wa.gov.au by 4.00pm Friday November 27, 2009.
